Kids outdoor playhouse
My kids got this cute playhouse for their birthday in the spring + I decided it needed to be more custom, because I have to be extra like that. Don’t get me wrong, it was really cute before, but it was so fun to add some more details to it and make it more personal.
i ended up leaving it the color it was, but added flower pots, a house number and dinner bell to the front. then we added lanterns and a fun little table to the side. If you live in a windy area, definitely bolt it down! I didn’t and i had several times where it blew away and i had to go find it. do as i say not as i do!
After we made the house cute, i decided i wanted to build a platform for it to sit on since the house itself doesn’t have a floor. We used 2 x 6’s and made a deck that was 10 feet long by 7 inches tall by about 60 inches wide. This was as big as i needed to fit the house and table on it, but if i was to redo it, i would add extra width so they have more room to walk around it. but regardless, they love it! its something fun for them to play with outside but its also cute for mom + dad to look at.
